Marigold Connection - Reciprocity Print
One of the illustrations from the Milkwood Permaculture handbook, this print is an ode to reciprocity and our interconnection to the living world.
Featuring marigolds as the central image, a very special flower to Dalee. Her recent trip back to India reminded her of the beauty in growing marigolds in our gardens to then offer back as gifts of reciprocity. Their beautiful bright orange is known to be the colour of the highest enlightenment of the mind.
Marigolds are also an incredible companion plant in the vege patch, offering protection to other plants from many pests and were also a favourite flower in her grandfathers garden. The smell bringing back memories of connection, family and childhood.
The self care print really speaks to me so I was super excited to order the poppy dress in this print in my favourite colour family (pink!). It did not disappoint. Comfy fabric, beautiful design, functional pockets, locally made -- all my boxes are ticked!
This jumpsuit is wonderful! It fits beautifully, has great deep pockets, and is super easy to get in and out of. I wore it three times the week it arrived because I just didn't want to take it off. As per the description, it does cut pretty low on my (large) chest, so I've been wearing it with different tops when I feel the need to cover up - so far it looks good with matching grey and contrasting pink so far. I love the print so much, it would be awesome to have a matching top (or skivvy!) that provides cleavage coverage underneath...just saying :)
This dress is so beautiful and functional. I adore the artwork and the fact that it was printed & sewn in Australia. The fabric is much sturdier than I expected (in a good way, not saying it's overly stiff or anything). It's a joy to wear. I can tell that it will be a cherished part of my wardrobe for a long time.
When I unfolded this top I was worried that the very puffy sleeves might be too puffy for my broad shouldered build...but actually it looked great! Love how it completes the matching flow dress, but it also looks nice with other skirts I own.
Just love the cut in this, the fabric is incredible. I feel so amazing in this outfit. A massive confidence booster.

I received my Burdock and Bird wrap dress today and could not wait to try it on! This dress is outstanding in every way - the print is so very beautiful and the design of the dress is incredibly flattering and fits like a dream. I am in love with this gorgeous dress! Everything, from its beautiful long length, flattering and so-pretty sleeves, slits to create total ease of movement and handy pockets, design-wise is thoughtful and artfully done. Clarey is an absolute genius! As with all Dalee Ella dresses the wrap dress is made of lovely thick and stretchy cotton which is so comfortable, easy to wear and cool. This piece will last forever and the Burdock and Bird print design created by Dalee is just stunning. A true art piece!
What a fab New Year arrival! I will be living in this dress for a long time. It’s a firm fit & I don’t need a bra with it - it’s a miracle (I’m an older 14C who did many years of breastfeeding, LoL). I received my dress this morning and tried it on with some nervousness. First time ordering from Dalee Ella, and I’m a size 20. The dress is stunning, and I feel stunning when I wear it! Incredibly flattering and a beautiful print.
Equally as important, it’s so comfortable to wear. The stretch cotton is soft, the wrap design really does leave no room for worrying about accidental exposure, and the pockets! I nearly cried. Functional pockets on a beautiful dress, what next?!
Lastly, I love print making - I’m a complete amateur but I really love the designs and struggled to choose between this dress and the other designs.
For many years, I have dressed for functionality and comfort instead of style, having resigned myself to the fact that I can’t have both (especially as a plus size woman). I can’t tell you how good it feels to wear something that makes me feel stylish and pretty.

This is the second jumpsuit I have bought as I have worn the other sooo much given the comfort easy to get on and off and looks great. As a middle aged women I just love everything about it….so I had to get another. The icing on the cake is the unique art and design and the ethnically philosophy … what’s not to love!!!
